"The Globe" Lamp by Dijkstra Lamps
This vintage lamp features:
Design: A spherical shade consisting of two semicircular sections of smoked brown or mocha-colored plexiglass.
Construction: The sections are held together by an aluminum frame or band in the middle.
Lighting Effect: Inside is a perforated, funnel-shaped reflector of (often white-coated) aluminum, which creates a distinctive, atmospheric lighting effect when the lamp is lit.
