A beautiful porcelain wall plate from the “Country Days” series — depicting the life of a rural community in a bygone age,” painted by British artist Chris Howells and made by Josiah Wedgwood & Sons Limited of Barlaston, Stoke-on-Trent — England’s most renowned porcelain house, founded in 1759.
🎨 “The Apple Pickers” depicts a warm autumn scene in the English countryside: farmers picking apples from the trees surrounding a picturesque half-timbered farmhouse with a thatched roof, while a horse and cart wait to transport the harvest. A timeless ode to English rural life of yesteryear.
⚱️ The edition was finally closed after only 55 firing days. Each plate is individually numbered, with the official Bradex number 26-W90-43.2.
