Hala (Zeist, Netherlands) and Herbert Terry & Sons (Redditch, UK) collaborated in the 1950s to produce the distinctive, iconic Anglepoise adjustable-arm floor lamps. This partnership combined British spring technology with Dutch design to create highly collectible vintage pieces.
1960s Industrial style table lamp (so-called "architect lamp"), which bears the typical industrial and functional features of the era. The chrome-plated metal stem has a hinged, spring-loaded mechanism, which allows precise adjustment of the height and angle of the lamp. The wide, conical shade helps to concentrate the light, making it ideal for precision work or reading. At the bottom of the lamp, there is a table clamp (vice) with which it can be attached directly to the edge of the tabletop, so it does not take up space on the work surface.
