Classic tubular steel armchair from renowned manufacturer Tecta, based on an original design by Anton Lorenz from the 1930s.
Timeless design with elegantly curved tubular steel.
The D35 is based on Lorenz Kragsessel's KS 47 design.
The upholstery of the back, seat, and armrests is made of Tecta wickerwork – completely intact.
The Hungarian Anton Lorenz is a key figure in Bauhaus design and tubular steel furniture. He adopted the idea of Mart Stam's cantilever chair and developed several tubular steel icons based on it in the late 1920s, including this D35.
The German manufacturer Tecta, a strong supporter of Bauhaus design, adopted the idea of the D35 and further developed it into the current Kinetic version, which allows the seat to be moved backward using body pressure.
