Anton Lorenz, a Hungarian-born businessman, recognized the potential of Mart Stam's "cantilever chair" idea early on and implemented it in this chair, albeit initially in a rigid form.
Much later, this idea was taken up by Tecta and further developed in the workshops in Lauenförde. The proportions were refined, the design improved and the kinetic movement function added. An almost invisible intervention: without any visible technology, just by moving and shifting the body, the Be-seater can move continuously from an upright sitting position to a relaxed reclining position. Marcel Breuer's "dream of weightless sitting" is within reach with this armchair.
The hand-woven seat and the frame with its timeless lines can be coordinated in various materials and color combinations.
