P40 enthusiasts will recognize it from afar. This iconic design was created by Osvaldo Borsani for Tecno in the 1950s. The silhouette is instantly recognizable — the long, streamlined reclining shape, the metal armrests, and the characteristic mechanism that made the P40 one of the most innovative recliners of its time. In this particular example, history is clearly visible. The upholstery shows signs of wear, the straps under the seat have come loose, and neither the headrest nor the footrest are fully functional anymore. It is therefore a fixer-upper, but one with a story: according to the owner, it was purchased at the Milan fair in the 1960s and taken home by train. For lovers of Italian design, Tecno, or mid-century icons, this is an opportunity to acquire a rare original example that can be fully restored to your own taste. The construction appears solid, the frame is complete, and the typical Tecno details — such as the metal side panel with logo — are present. With the right restoration, this can become a masterpiece again. Dimensions of approximately 72 x 80 / 150 x 70 / 90 cm.
