Please see images Taniguchi Ryōzō / Ryosan is an important ceramicist who revitalized contemporary Japanese pottery. He was an apprentice to Kiyomizu master potter Rokubei 六兵衛. Taniguchi Won the first prize at the Contemporary Ceramic Art Exhibition of Japan. Awarded the Koyu Prize at the Kofu-kai Exhibition and the Tsujinaga Memorial Prize. Award of the Ceramic Society of Japan. His works are mainly with blue glaze and Karin (pseudocydonia) glaze. Ryōzō's works are held in the Imperial Collection and were, for instance, on display during official meeting of the emperor such as between Hirohito and the prince and princess of wales, Charles and Diana in 1986.
