This beautiful black metal Kaiser Idell 6556 table lamp is an original from the 1940s, featuring the iconic shade with embossed "ORIGINAL KAISER-idell" print. Kaiser Idell lamps, including this model, were widely used in offices, workshops and homes thanks to their adjustable mechanism and timeless elegance. Their distinctive dome-shaped shades and precisely designed joints made them an integral part of 20th century industrial design.
Today, these lamps are highly sought-after collectibles, admired for their history, craftsmanship and Bauhaus heritage.Kaiser Idell is one of the most iconic names in Bauhaus lighting design. The brand was developed by Christian Dell, a German silversmith and industrial designer, who played an important role in the design of the Bauhaus aesthetic. The name "Idell" is derived from Dell's last name and the word "idea. The lamps, produced by Gebrüder Kaiser & Co. became famous for their sleek, functional and high-quality craftsmanship.
For its age, this lamp is still in beautiful vintage condition and completely original, including the bakelite (European) plug and a white switch on the base.
