Product description
For sale is a very rare red table lamp by SIS, model 836, from the 1960s.
The conical shade is coated in red. The flexible gooseneck is chrome-plated and attached to a white and red plastic base with a rocker switch.
The lamp is in very good, fully functional condition with a patina appropriate to its age.
Manufacturer: SIS-Licht Gebr. Lang GmbH & Co., Schweinfurt.
As one of the oldest lamp manufacturers in Germany, SIS was founded in 1924 by Erich Lang and his father Karl Lang as a metal factory, which focused on lighting from the very beginning. The name SIS stands for Sirius Schweinfurt. The company is currently managed by Stefan Lang, the fourth generation of the family.
