This striking table lamp from Hillebrand Lighting, dating from the 1970s, embodies the experimental design language of the Space Age era. With its distinctive, spherical reflector and flexible neck, it is a classic example of the functional yet sculptural design of this decade.
The lamp combines a high-gloss, chrome-plated metal shade with a flexible, ribbed plastic neck in beige and a heavy, textured cast iron base in black (weight 1963 g).
The base features a distinctive, chrome-plated push-button switch. The original Hillebrand manufacturer's label is located on the underside. The design allows for precise light direction.
The lamp is in good condition, reflecting its age and use. The materials exhibit a light, authentic patina that enhances its vintage character. The lamp is fully functional. The shade has a few minor scratches.
