John August Gustaf Börén , born June 6, 1903 in Hököpinge , Malmö Karoli parish , died there January 22, 1983, was a Swedish painter.
Boren was the artist self-taught and conducted independent studies during trips to Italy and France. He has exhibited regularly in Skåne’s art association exhibitions since 1932 and with Hörby art association and with the group The Twelve. He exhibited separately in Trelleborg and Malmö. His art consists of still lifes with flowers and fruits, interiors and well-tuned landscapes often with motifs from Scania in oil, tempera, pastel, watercolor or wax crayons. Börén is represented with gouaches at Malmö Museum and with the painting Tobacco flower at Sydöstra Skånes museum of art in Tomelilla.
