A superb, large collectible statuette in alabaster resin, signed by the Italian artist Antoni Famery for the prestigious Tuscan manufacturer ADL (Art Decor Line). This iconic piece, dating from the 1990s, embodies the golden age of Italian fashion shows.
It depicts a young woman with couture elegance, dressed in a vibrant sunny yellow summer ensemble with black polka dots, consisting of a crop top and palazzo pants with a superb, flowing drape. Famery's unique and bold style is immediately recognizable in its strikingly slender silhouette (reminiscent of a fashion sketch). The pose is both sophisticated and relaxed, with one hand casually tucked into a pocket, a matching scarf around the neck, and large, graphic earrings. The piece rests on its original circular base of dark-stained wood.
The statue is in beautiful vintage condition. A rare find for these pieces: all the fragile elements (the fingers, the edges of the scarf, and the earrings) are impeccable and intact. The polychromy remains superb, vibrant, and luminous. Note that the right arm has been reattached, as seen in the photos.
The piece bears the original signature "Antoni Famery" hand-engraved on the base, as well as the official manufacturer's mark "A.D.L." and "Made in Italy Hand Painted."
