For sale: Stigram table lamp, designed by French designer Jean Pierre Vitrac and produced by the French company Verre Lumière, circa 1980. Manufacturer's label present on the base.
The Stigram perfectly illustrates his sculptural and functional approach: a solid and stable black lacquered cast aluminum stem, topped with a strikingly light, two-tone white and red molded methacrylate circular shade. The contrast between the density of the black metal and the plastic transparency of the shade is typical of the high-tech and postmodern aesthetic that characterizes the best of French design from the 1980s.
Very good overall condition, working mechanism, intact shade, minimal signs of wear consistent with the piece's age.
