Spanish carved wooden stool with a beautifully aged dark finish with notched detailing, turned legs and a round seat. One available. The handcrafted character, compact form and rustic notched detailing with criss-cross accents give the stool a quiet charm. The wood is patinated, stained dark (believed originally pine), but otherwise virtually no flaws or dings. Functions as a seating stool, footstool, plant stand or side table. Pieces like this are often associated with Spanish Colonial revival furniture of the 1940s–1950s and fit beautifully into Mediterranean, rustic farmhouse or eclectic interiors seeking a touch of old world character. Very solid and stable because of its tripod legs - which even unscrew from the top for easy transport and storage. Assembly is simple and done by hand.
