Gerard Boersma is known for his paintings of people in museums looking at famous artworks.
This 30 x 20 cm work depicts a woman enjoying a painting by Joan Miró. Instead of realistic drawings, Miró used clear forms and simple lines to capture the energy, joy, and spirit of Spanish dance.
The work dates from 2026 and was created using acrylic on panel. Signed on the back and featuring an artist's label and a certificate of authenticity.
About the artist
Gerard Boersma has been an internationally acclaimed artist for over 25 years, known for his colorful and detailed realistic painting style, in which he expresses both his concerns and his love for contemporary society. His art can be found in museums, galleries, and private collections worldwide (6 continents, >35 countries). In 2018, he exhibited his work alongside Warhol, Haring, Banksy, and others in a group exhibition in France. He lives and works in Leeuwarden, the Netherlands.
