Originally Made for a Devotional Statue, Probably a Virgin Mary, Child Jesus or Crowned Saint. Hand-Carved Wooden Construction With Red, Green and Gilt Decoration Imitating Gemstones, With Vivid Red Polychromy Inside. The Crown Shows an Authentic Aged Surface With Wear, Losses to Gilding and Paint, Small Chips, Cracks and Old Insect Holes, All Consistent With Its Age.
