This Pop Art/Space Age accent lamp was crafted from a ceramic vase by Count Ortenburg. The clean, cubic form with a side handle is typical of studio ceramics from the 1960s and 70s and lends the vase a serene, architectural presence.
The glaze, in a deep red tone with dark gradients, is particularly distinctive and unfolds a warm, vibrant effect depending on the angle of the light.
The lampshade is covered with a high-quality, exclusive Italian designer fabric (100% organic cotton, upholstery quality). The motif depicts a fictional planetary landscape with stalagmites. The landscape looks as if it could be the setting for a space western. Wonderfully translucent—despite the tight weave—the fabric displays intense colors—from warm orange to deep blue and green—with very strong contrasts. When switched on, it creates a particularly atmospheric lighting effect with depth and color gradients—a true eye-catcher. This is a lamp that truly catches the eye and lifts the spirits.
Conversion of the ceramic into a lamp (protective of the object):
The original 1960s/70s vase was converted into a lamp without altering its structure: no drilling, a reversible plug-in solution, weighted for stability. The original condition and thus the collector's value of the vase are fully preserved. The vase has two small chips, one on the spout and one on the handle, which have been repaired with ceramic paint in the same color. The lamp is therefore offered at a discount of €20. These imperfections are not distracting.
Technology – wireless & flexible:
The lamp is powered by a rechargeable LED bulb, which can be charged via a USB-C cable. It provides up to 12 hours of light. The bulb can be purchased separately for approximately €12 – making the lamp sustainable. The bulb is also suitable for outdoor use. Ideal for balconies, patios, or flexible indoor lighting effects without a power outlet.
The lamp is therefore offered at a discount of €20. Dimmable via remote control, multiple light colors adjustable.
