This exceptional display cabinet from circa 1890–1910 is a small masterpiece from a time when furniture was still truly handmade.
Constructed entirely of solid mahogany, it exudes a warm depth that only arises when good wood meets patient craftsmanship.
No veneer, no machine shortcuts — just solid hardwood, carefully assembled in a traditional studio.

🪵 An interplay of light, wood, and craftsmanship
The most intriguing feature of this piece is the hand-laid marquetry, which not only adorns the drawer and door, but also incorporates the sides into its rhythm. This all-around inlay—of light maple or citrus wood—creates subtle fan patterns that almost resemble rising sunlight.
The wood lives. The colors breathe.
It's a piece of furniture that doesn't shout, but rather invites you to look.
The thin, perfectly straight, solid shelves are also a beautiful still life of 19th-century craftsmanship: only quality mahogany remains so sleek after more than a century.

• Visually very good, with minor signs of wear commensurate with its age (scratches, small dents; see photos).
• Two small ornaments on the drawer are missing—the original mounting holes are visible in the photos.
