A small Napoleon III period side table with two tiers decorated with a Japanese-inspired design of birds and gilded branches against a black lacquer background. The openwork gallery of the tiers and the four legs, each ending in a caster, are lacquered brown and embellished with gilt motifs. French work, made in the 1880s.
