Very pretty small glazed terracotta ball vase, of traditional Slovak artisanal manufacture, probably from Pozdišovce, bearing an incised, difficult-to-read mark or signature under the base, appearing to form the letters "AN". Old, from the 1920s-1930s, Art Deco period. Beautiful bulbous shape with a wide flared neck, entirely hand-decorated with horizontal white, black/dark brown, green, and grey bands on a brown background, with a central frieze of stylized yellow, blue, and green motifs. Fine and meticulous work. 16cm high and 16cm max diameter. Very good general condition. Nothing notable apart from two micro-chips under the foot, one of which is slightly placed on the outer rim, both very discreet. Approximately 700gr.
