This small cordless table lamp is upcycled from an original Scheurich vase from the 1960s/70s. The vase's base markings are, of course, still present. With its classic amphora shape and the distinctive red and black speckled glaze, it is one of the most characteristic designs of West German Pottery. The form and decoration are by Heinz Siery, considered one of the most important ceramic designers of that era.
The vibrant glaze is reminiscent of glowing lava or coral reefs and develops ever-changing color nuances depending on the light. This organic surface is precisely what makes each vase unique.
The handcrafted lampshade is covered with a high-quality cotton-linen blend fabric. The motif of stylized firefish echoes the color palette of the ceramic and elegantly continues the maritime theme. The fabric's fine weave creates a pleasantly soft light diffusion, beautifully showcasing the warm reds and natural tones. The ceramic and fabric appear perfectly coordinated.

Conversion to a Lamp
The original Scheurich vase has been carefully converted into a lamp. No drilling was done, preserving the original condition of the ceramic and its collector's value. The conversion is completely reversible.
Technology – Wireless & Flexible
The lamp is powered by a rechargeable LED bulb, which can be charged via a USB-C cable. It provides up to 12 hours of light. The bulb can be purchased separately for approximately €12. The LED bulb is suitable for outdoor use. It can be dimmed using the included remote control, and several light colors are available. Thanks to its cordless design, this lamp is particularly well-suited for locations without a direct power outlet, such as balconies, patios, or gardens.
