Charming little hand-carved wooden duck, Indian craftsmanship, Rajasthan or Kashmir, inlaid with copper and brass plates. Vintage 1950s-70s. Simple seated pose with folded wings, plated with gilt brass, surrounded by rose copper, two ornate copper rings around the neck, and a copper and brass eye. Open beak, usually closed on this type of object, so this is noticeable. Relatively dark wood, patinated by age.
12.5cm high, 16cm maximum length, approximately 9cm wide. Good overall condition, wings with natural and harmonious dents, and a little discreet oxidation. Approximately 350g.
