very rare coffee table of unknown provenance, in the style of Aldo Tura, but coming from France, (very likely) produced during the 80s.
It’s a rare two tier coffee table with double top.
The lowest tier can be used to store books, glasses, ornaments or other related convenience items, and basically acts like a book shelve, where lots of items can be placed out of sight.
The highest tier has the sliding construction that opens to a non-mirrored, dry bar section, with 2 built-in bottle holders, ideally suited for liquor bottles, glasses and drink-ware.
The lowest tier sticks out a bit compared to the higher top, creating an interesting visual aspect.
The table is royally cladded with burl wood, accentuated by metal strips around the corners for visual impact.
Table measures 135 x 75 x 37 cm when closed and 165 x 75 x 37 cm when opened.
This beautiful cocktail bar coffee table is in very good original condition.
