A dense network of oblique planes and broken lines structures the space around a large shaded circle and an angular zigzag form, creating an architectural tension and an almost organic vitality. Exceptional mastery of graphite: velvety blacks, subtle grays, and pure whites on Steinbach paper give the whole a sculptural presence. Condition: perfect. Provenance: directly from the artist's daughter. Authenticity: listed in the online catalogue raisonné (art-info.be). A singular figure of the Liège avant-garde and a founding member of the Réalité-Cobra group, Silvin Bronkart (1915-1967) always prioritized quality over quantity.
