Signed painting, Woman's Head in Profile, created in 1989 (acrylic on cardboard, 75 cm x 90 cm unframed)
by Silvia Willkens, born in Bad Kreuznach in 1953, is an early work from her time as a freelance artist (1984-2002) and was acquired directly from the artist's exhibition by the current owners' family.
Today, her works, characterized by delicate chalk strokes, are more realistic and focus on the face, often in a large, almost monumental style.
Her subsequent teaching position in Wiesbaden and Mainz was followed by numerous exhibitions in galleries worldwide, from the USA and Georgia to Italy, France, and several stops across Africa from coast to coast, and of course, Germany.

In 2024, the painting's provenance was verified by the Saarbrücken auction house, and the authenticity of the original signature was also confirmed!
