Low roller shutter cabinet/sideboard, attributed to the Pastoe A’dammer series by Aldo van den Nieuwelaar. The famous A’dammer was designed in 1978.
No Pastoe mark or product sticker is present on this particular example. The attribution is based on the model, construction, and dimensions, which correspond to a documented A’dammer version of 120 × 75 × 37 cm. The cabinet is therefore explicitly offered as attributed to Pastoe; no guarantee is given that this individual piece was manufactured by Pastoe. A distinctive feature is the vertically ribbed roller doors that slide along the rounded sides of the cabinet when opened. Both roller doors can be opened independently. Behind them is a spacious central compartment with a shelf.
With a depth of only 37 cm, it is a compact sideboard that offers a relatively large amount of storage space.
The blue color most likely corresponds to Pastoe color B28.
The roller doors function well and have been well preserved. The cabinet is in good vintage condition, with signs of use consistent with its age. Particularly along the bottom edge, there is localized paint loss. There are light scratches and minor paint damage on the top and some edges. These signs of use have been deliberately shown clearly in the photos and have not been touched up.
Viewing is possible. Due to the size, pickup is preferred.
