Superb side table or end table signed Jean-Claude Mahey, a French piece from the 1970s, recognizable by its architectural design and particularly decorative finish. The wooden structure is entirely covered in a speckled beige resin with a lacquered finish, its mineral hues punctuated with brown and black. The result visually evokes stone or terrazzo while retaining the glossy elegance characteristic of furniture design from this period. Its geometric design plays on solid and void volumes: a large rectangular top with softened corners surmounts a graphic base incorporating an open space.
