An exceptionally rare masterpiece for the connoisseur:
A fully original, monumental French Empire chandelier (bag chandelier / tent model) from the first, early period (c. 1800 – 1820).
This museum-quality object is in absolutely perfect condition and exudes the grandeur of the time of Napoleon I.
Unlike the many later reproductions on the market, this is an authentic, early 19th-century example of exceptionally high quality.
Features & Details:
Style & Model: Classic Empire 'Sac à perles' (bag chandelier). At the top, an impressive, tapering 'waterfall' of crystal strands, culminating in a richly decorated central ring with a double row of monumental candle arms.
The base closes in a perfect bowl shape, finished with a beautifully chased, solid bronze pinecone (classic symbol of hospitality and eternal life). Material: Heavy,
high-quality cast and hand-finished bronze/brass with stunning neoclassical details (acanthus leaves, floral and cross motifs).
Crystal:
Fully fitted with the original, hand-cut lead crystal (octagons and rare rectangular baguette prisms on the inside). The crystal displays the characteristic, soft historical sparkle and refracts the light in a magnificent manner.
Condition: Perfect.
The lamp was electrified in the past with utmost skill and discretion while preserving its historical character, making it immediately functional for use in a high-end interior.
Unique:
Includes complete set of spare crystals
A special feature of this offer is that the lamp is not only 100% complete, but also includes a complete set of original spare crystals of *all* types present (beads, prisms, and drops).
This is virtually impossible to find for antiques of this age and guarantees the preservation of the lamp for the future. Dimensions & Placement:
Due to its generous size and double row of light points, this chandelier is perfectly suited for a mezzanine, high hall, townhouse, castle, or an exclusive classic/modern design interior with a high ceiling.
