This large, impressive Eiwa vintage vase dates from the 1950s to the early 1970s and impresses with its handcrafted, floral decor. The vase is glazed in a warm brown tone and has a carved floral pattern on the front, which gives it a rustic yet charming look.
The model number 15-35 is embossed on the base. There are slight smudges in the glaze on the back of the vase, which presumably occurred during production or decoration - a typical feature of handmade ceramics from this period and not a defect in the classic sense.
This vase is ideal as a statement piece, for dried flowers or simply as a nostalgic retro-style home accessory.
There is a blurring in the black glaze, which is not a subsequently acquired defect, but must have been present before the firing process. See pictures.
