Vintage Lamp Pair – Ceramic & Brass | Rewired | Mid-Century Style
Elegant pair of lamps, each with a heavy, dark brown ceramic base and warm, patinated brass, fitted with new, color-matched, highly translucent lampshades. Both lamps have been professionally rewired, and the original brass sockets with their beautiful, authentic patina have been intentionally preserved.
The ceramic bases rest on decorative brass plinths and are capped with brass finials – a detail that lends the ensemble a high-quality, almost architectural feel. The glaze is a deep, dark color, creating a striking contrast to the warm metal tones. The lamp bases were purchased separately and are offered here as a pair. They are identical in construction but differ in the color of the ceramic – one is lighter than the other. Both are wired with high-quality fabric cable – one in a black and white mottled pattern, the other in silver-gray. The darker lamp has a fine, inconspicuous hairline crack in the glaze on the left side, which has been touched up. The other – lighter – lamp has a small dent from the ceramic firing process – meaning the small dent originated during the ceramic manufacturing process and is not unusual for ceramics from this period.
The cylindrical lampshades:
The fabric is very translucent and features a high-contrast floral pattern in contemporary brown, ochre, and natural tones. When switched on, it creates a soft, atmospheric light – ideal for creating a harmonious ambiance in the living room or bedroom, on dressers, or as a pair to the left and right of a sideboard.

Classification/Manufacturer:
A definitive manufacturer cannot currently be identified. However, the style, combination of materials, and workmanship strongly suggest a German or European mid-century modern design (1950s–1970s). Similar designs can be found, among other places, in the circles of high-quality ceramic and lighting manufacturers of that era. A more precise attribution cannot be guaranteed, but they can be clearly categorized stylistically.
