Two rare fabric and fiberglass easy chairs in very good condition.
These chairs are designed by Alberto Rosselli in 1971 and manufactured by Saporiti in Besnate, Italy
The chairs feature a black lacquered fiberglass shell base with a hollow backside. The base is covered with two fabric cushions. Four chromed feet support the base which give the chairs a sleek look.
Originally published in Domus magazine (No. 500, July 1971, p. 73), the design reflects the era's futuristic optimism and Rosselli’s pursuit of functional elegance. With their low and deep seating, these chairs remain both visually striking and exceptionally inviting.
The chairs were professionally reupholstered with a beautiful high-end green ‘Yeti' fabric by Pierre Frey Paris.
This very beautiful plain weave of wool, mohair and long-haired alpaca has been created in a reworked seventies spirit and woven in the Pierre Frey workshops in northern France.
