Set of Teak Nesting Tables by Kurt Østervig, Denmark, 1960s
A rare set of nesting tables designed by Kurt Østervig in the 1960s, made in solid teak with the largest table having a teak veneer top. The smaller tables have an original black Formica top. The tables are characterized by finely worked joints that give the design a sense of precision and lightness while showcasing Østervig’s craftsmanship. The contrast between the warm teak frames and the dark tops adds a refined graphic quality, while the nesting construction makes the set both space-efficient and versatile. Subtle yet distinctive, the tables reflect the balance of function and detail that defines Danish modern furniture of the period. Sizes: 60x40x47h + 44hx55x38,5 + 41hx36,5x49,5
