This set of ceramic tea cups and milk jug was designed and produced by Secla, in Portugal, during the 1970's. Beautiful set with a simple design and a ribbed texture, that increases from the base to the top. In a mustard color and a design that resembles the scandinavian ceramics from the time. All pieces in original vintage condition, with tiny chips barely noticeable.
Created in 1947 in Caldas da Rainha, a city with a long ceramic tradition, Secla established itself from the beginning as an innovative company, investing in modern production and giving priority to design. Its founder, Joaquim Pinto Ribeiro, had a habit of challenging artists and architects to explore ideas in unique pieces and small series.
SECLA's products were exported to several countries around the world, in particular to the USA, England, Germany and France. In addition to tableware, kitchenware and oven (ovenware), it also produced decorative tableware such as vases and jars, among other references. The factory closed in 2008.
