This set of ceramic coffee cups and milk jug was designed and produced by Secla, in Portugal, during the 1970's. Beautiful set with a simple design and eye-catching textures. Each piece has a different color, which gives a fun vibe to this set, and a design that resembles the scandinavian ceramics from the time. All pieces in original vintage condition, with tiny chips barely noticeable.
Marked "Secla" below the jug and with numbers below the cups.
Created in 1947 in Caldas da Rainha, a city with a long ceramic tradition, Secla established itself from the beginning as an innovative company, investing in modern production and giving priority to design. Its founder, Joaquim Pinto Ribeiro, had a habit of challenging artists and architects to explore ideas in unique pieces and small series.
SECLA's products were exported to several countries around the world, in particular to the USA, England, Germany and France. In addition to tableware, kitchenware and oven (ovenware), it also produced decorative tableware such as vases and jars, among other references. The factory closed in 2008.
