Product description
A set of 8 wooden chairs with rattan seats, Gemla Fabrikers AB Gemla Diö, first half of the 20th century.
These chairs tend to be associated with Italian design from the 1960s or 1970s, often in the style of Gio Ponti, or with Scandinavian manufacturers such as Gemla Fabrikers AB. The structure is usually made of solid wood (such as beech or ash) and the seat is hand-woven from a natural material such as reed or straw rope.
All chairs remain in very good original vintage condition with signs of age and use consistent with time. The wooden structures are stable, and the woven seats are preserved in original condition. No renovation or restoration has been carried out.
