These six dining chairs from the 1960s are an excellent example of Danish furniture design.
They were made by the renowned manufacturer O.D. Møbler A-S in Denmark, as the label on the underside of the chairs confirms. They were designed by Erik Buch, a well-known Danish designer who is particularly appreciated for his functional yet aesthetically sophisticated seating furniture.
The chairs presented here are characterized by their particularly harmonious combination of organic shapes and solid craftsmanship. The frames are made of solid oak, which impresses with its warm, natural grain. The workmanship is extremely precise - characteristic of Scandinavian furniture design at the time. The curved lines of the backrests and legs are soft and elegant without being obtrusive.
The seat and backrest surfaces are upholstered with an original, coarsely woven fabric in a beige-brown shade. This upholstery not only contributes to comfort, but also visually complements the warm appearance of the oak wood.
The backrest is slightly inclined backwards and ergonomically shaped, creating a pleasant sitting sensation - ideal for long evenings at the dining table.
This version of the Erik Buch chairs in oak is much rarer than the teak versions that are often found. Their timeless elegance and stability make them a stylish eye-catcher in both modern and classic interiors.

Five of the six chairs are in very good condition with only minimal signs of wear commensurate with their age. One chair has a visible area of wear to the fabric cover on the front edge of the seat. The wooden frames of all chairs are stable and show no structural damage.
