These stackable chairs are a typical design by Giancarlo Piretti for Anonima Castelli (Italy), model DSC 106 - the classic conference and contract chair of the late 1960s/1970s.
The characteristic polished die-cast aluminum knots on the sides, which connect the seat and backrest to the tubular frame and also enable stacking and linking in rows, are a distinguishing feature.
The seat and backrest shells are made of wood with a light gray lacquer finish; the four-legged frame made of round tubular steel is also painted gray and slightly flared, giving the chair a stable base and an elegant, technical look. The ergonomically shaped shells give way pleasantly, the front seat radius is softly rounded - comfortable even when sitting for long periods. The Castelli stamp CASTELLI ITALY can be found on the underside of the aluminum parts (clearly visible in your pictures), which confirms the attribution. The chair can be stacked high and was therefore widely used in universities, auditoriums and administrative offices - an industrial design icon of post-war modernism.

Good, fully functional vintage condition with age-appropriate patina. The seat and backrests have minor scratches and scuff marks. The metal frame with slight signs of wear to the paintwork, the aluminum knots with fine abrasions. Stable, clean and stackable - ready for immediate use.
