A set of five very fine glazed terracotta mazagrans, vintage French handcrafted pieces from the 1960s-1980s, all signed on the base with an MV-type monogram. Beautiful workshop production with very fine and consistent wheel throwing, each piece exhibiting slight variations in shape that attest to their handcrafted nature. The glaze features drips in superb shades of blue, green, and brown, with textural effects and bubbles, and was fired at a high temperature. One of the mazagrans has a slightly redder clay and a more pronounced signature, likely from a separate firing or series, but consistent with the set.
Height 11.5 to 12 cm, diameter at the rim 7.5 to 8 cm. In very good overall condition, with a small chip under the foot ring on one piece, not visible/very discreet when displayed. The glaze bubbles have been neatly pierced. Approximately 200-250 grams each.
