Four chairs made of solid rosewood with hand-woven straw seat.
Probably of Italian manufacture but with Scandinavian design.
Slightly curved back at the ends,as in Gio Ponti’s super-light chair,to increase comfort;wide and comfortable seat in handwoven natural fiber.
The frame, thin at the top of the chair, tends to widen downward as the legs spread apart;the line of the curved backrest, whose slats are shaped like a boomerang,is also interesting.
They show a splendid patina of time enhanced by the play of color and marks created by the rosewood grain.
The chairs are in good vintage condition, stable and solid. Splendid patina, with slight signs of use and age on a single backrest (visible in the photo).
