Product description
This set of sled-frame chairs has a distinct modernist origin, featuring a sleek chrome tubular frame and a tensioned seat and back.
Originally, the chairs were upholstered in black saddle leather. However, this leather had completely deteriorated, giving the chairs a rather heavy and architectural character.
A different approach was deliberately chosen for the reupholstering. Instead of reconstructing the original material, the chairs have been re-covered with Lino Coex, an Italian linen by Chioccarello.
This material gives the chairs a lighter, softer, and more tactile character, while preserving the original construction.
The result is a set that is still clearly rooted in modernism but fits better with a contemporary interior where comfort and material experience are important.
