Exceptional complete set of four vintage Ginger chairs, designed by French designer Patrick Gingembre and manufactured by Paulus (France), early 1970s.
The Ginger is a characteristic example of French Space Age design from this period. The chair is made of molded fiberglass/polyester and stands out due to its organic, sculptural form and the three legs that flow seamlessly into the seat.
Offered are four matching white chairs. As a set, the chairs form a unique and strong ensemble, suitable both as functional furniture and for an enthusiast or collector of vintage design.
The chairs are in good original vintage condition. The white surfaces have beautifully retained their characteristic shine. Naturally, after more than fifty years of use, normal signs of age and wear are present, including superficial scratches, smudges, and some local discoloration. Please also see the detailed photos for this.
The undersides are unpolished and show the original fiberglass construction. There are old handwritten markings on the underside, including “Ets. Loca Froid – Rabbe”. These have been deliberately preserved as part of the history of the set.
