Designed by Radomír Hofman for the national company TON in Bystřice pod Hostýnem, this set of four dining chairs (model 514) exemplifies the elegant functionalism and organic modernism characteristic of 1960s Czechoslovak design.
Crafted from bent beechwood with veneered surfaces, the chairs feature a sculpted backrest with a distinctive cutout that enhances both comfort and lightness of form. The seats have been newly upholstered in high-quality turquoise fabric, preserving the refined balance between craftsmanship and modern aesthetic.
Fully restored by professionals, the set remains in excellent condition, ready for everyday use or as a collector’s highlight of mid-century Czechoslovak furniture design.
