For sale: a set of two iconic 'Wicky' armchairs, designed by Didier Gomez for the French design house Ligne Roset in the 1990s. As an interior architect and designer, Gomez was associated with names such as Yves Saint-Laurent, LVMH, and Dior — and the Wicky is one of his most recognizable pieces of furniture.
The frame is entirely hand-woven from hemp rope on a metal construction, finished with brushed aluminum legs. The chairs have a sturdy, cubic shape that timelessly complements both modern and classic interiors.
The chairs are in good but used condition. The weaving is intact and in good condition, with a few frayed edges here and there. The cushions (seat and back) are present and functional, but do have some light stains. Fortunately, the covers are washable and removable.
A rare opportunity to bring a piece of French design heritage into your home for a fraction of the original price.
