Set of two original vintage chairs from De Toekomst Dieverbrug (Drenthe), manufactured around 1955–1965.
A beautiful example of Dutch post-war design: functional, minimalist, and solidly built.
The chairs have a curved plywood seat and a sturdy wooden frame with visible bolt joints—typical of De Toekomst.
They are stable and comfortable, with a warm, honey-colored wood tone and a beautiful patina.
The original manufacturer's sticker "De Toekomst – Dieverbrug" is still partially present (on one of the two chairs).
Condition:
Good vintage condition – minor signs of wear consistent with age (small scratches, lacquer blemishes, and a small superficial crack in the veneer, see photos).
No structural damage, completely sturdy, and ready to use.
