We hereby offer a set of two vintage 1960s Aldo Jacober-style Trieste caned folding chairs. Two identical ones, as shown in photo 1. This is the basis for the asking price. They can be shipped; please contact us for details. Currently, delivery is by courier, so a different option is available. We'll let you know, including the cost. Background information and explanation: Aldo Jacober designed various items and products for various Italian companies in the 1960s and 1970s, whose designs have even ended up in museums. The Trieste folding chair was "almost certainly" designed by him for Alberto Bazzani, an Italian company. Many different designs are offered, with more or fewer slats on top, thicker or thinner, and even with a webbing seat and rounded backrests. It is unknown to us whether these can be fully attributed to the designer and the company mentioned. Nevertheless, you are buying two beautiful chairs with a story, organically designed with a comfortable seat and a finely indented backrest.
As you can see in this photo gallery (from photo 7 onwards), we also have a set of two other chairs, one dark brown and one light brown. These two have more signs of wear and are different in color and style. The price for the two is €100 together. A separate listing has been created for this. If you would like the complete set of four, please contact us via message. Dimensions are always approximately +/- 0.5 cm maximum. All chairs, except the brown one, are oil-finished and in used condition with signs of wear all around.
