Iconic Bauhaus design meets modern seating comfort. A set of 2 Tecta D25 cantilever chairs with black wickerwork, in excellent condition. The chrome of the chairs is flawless, the wickerwork perfect.
The D25 cantilever chair itself was designed by Axel Bruchhäuser - based on an idea by the French designer Jean Prouvé. This model has been produced by Tecta since 1979 and still stands for the successful combination of Bauhaus tradition and modern interpretation.
Tecta is a traditional German company that specialized early on in producing furniture of the international avant-garde of the 1920s. Designs by important Bauhaus figures such as Walter Gropius or Marcel Breuer were thus produced in series for the first time by Tecta and made accessible to a wider audience.
