Product description
These organically shaped tables are a wonderful example of 1970s Scandinavian design, seamlessly blending simplicity, functionality and natural materials. The tables are made of solid Red Norwegian pine, finished in a warm oil that enhances their rich grain texture.
What makes this set special is not only the rare "kidney" shaped triangle of the top, but also a refined detail: an inlaid wooden logo in the surface. This subtle inlay, composed of three fan shapes in a circle, gives the set an artisanal and unique character. Possibly a maker's signature or aesthetic detail that refers to smaller workshops that flourished in Sweden and Denmark in the 1960s-'70s.
One of the tables is +- 5cm higher, allowing them to be slid nicely over each other.
The legs do not have a standard cylindrical shape, but end in a bean-shaped base, which adds extra charm and subtlety to the construction. Below the top is a discreet coupling system, indicating that these tables were originally part of a nesting set of three. One of the tables is missing - but the remaining two form a sculptural and functional duo that rarely appears on the market.
