Offered: An iconic pair of Pastoe FM60 'Kubus' lounge armchairs, designed by Radboud van Beekum for Pastoe in 1980. This timeless piece of Dutch design history is an absolute eye-catcher in any minimalist, modern, or vintage interior. This is the sought-after early FM60 model featuring the distinctive white-lacquered, geometric flatpack frame (recognizable by the authentic screw connections on the back). At the time, the chairs were expertly upgraded with high-quality seats and backrests made of thick, grey saddle leather. This gives the chairs a very luxurious appearance and fantastic seating comfort.
Condition: The white metal frame is in beautiful, sturdy vintage condition with minimal paint damage consistent with its age. The grey saddle leather has a beautiful, weathered character.
Note: The leather shows slight vintage damage/wear at the corners on three specific points of the two chairs (see the clear detail photos). This does not detract at all from the sturdiness and construction of the seats, but actually contributes to the authentic patina of these design classics.
