Title: Set of 2 Original Vitra Eames EA 124 Lounge Chairs – Red Hopsak
Description: Up for auction: an iconic duo from the Vitra EA 124 Aluminium Group, designed by Charles & Ray Eames. This lounge chair is the most comfortable in the series, thanks to the high backrest, original headrest, and smooth tilt mechanism.
The chrome has been treated with protective chrome wax, giving it a beautiful shine.
Features:
Brand: Vitra (Original, labels included - manufactured July 2007).
Model: EA 124 (Aluminum Group Lounge Chair).
Upholstery: Hopsak fabric in a timeless red (in very good condition).
Base: Chrome-plated aluminium, swivel and tilt.
Condition: The chairs are in excellent technical and visual condition. The red upholstery is clean, sturdy, and shows hardly any signs of wear. The tops of the armrests and the back frame have a beautiful sheen.
As is often the case with this model of this age, the chrome shows characteristic signs of age. This is evident in blistering on the underside of the star base and the underside of the armrests. There are also pits/imperfections in the chrome in several places. Because these spots are mainly on the underside, they do not detract from the chairs' iconic appearance when displayed in a room. These imperfections are fully reflected in the price, making this a unique opportunity to own an original Vitra set at a competitive price.
