Up for sale: a rare pair of original Organic Chairs, designed by Charles Eames and Eero Saarinen. These iconic chairs date from the 1960s and are a beautiful example of early organic design in design history.
Condition:
Chair 1: In very good vintage condition. The black leatherette upholstery is tight and shows normal signs of wear commensurate with age. The seating comfort is excellent.
Chair 2: This chair has a tear in the seam of the upholstery (see detail photo). However, the frame and seat are fully intact and solid.
Restoration potential:
This is a unique opportunity for the collector or enthusiast. While modern replicas often suffer in quality, these 1960s originals offer the perfect foundation for high-quality reupholstery. Once restored, this set will represent considerable market value. Details:
